Dinosaur watch - oh so wrong?

I have a dilemma.  I've found a watch that I think is great, but borders on being absolutely wrong.  It's so wrong, it's wonderful.  It is, of course, an ebay find.  I always find myself a bit confused when it comes to ebay purchasing.  I guess this is what happens when you search 'Dinosaur: Jewellery'.  Decisions, decisions...the clock is ticking! (pun intended)

LIMEDROP

Although I've been aware of their work for a while now, it's only been in the past few months that I've become obsessed by the work of Nathan and Clea from Limedrop.  I placed my order for their Autumn/Winter 2010 pieces last week and I'm DYING for them to arrive. It's a great range full of chunky knits, velvet and digital prints of cloud on silk.  Sounds like a bit of a mish-mash, but it totally works.  Visiting their new store in the GPO (Melbourne) this week, I stocked up on some of their great jewellery, including this 'hare head' ring.  It's so great!! I have a feeling that gold is going to make a huge comeback in my wardrobe this summer.

ARNSDORF - the perfect belt

I've loved the work of Jade from ARNSDORF for a while now.  She's had such a distinct style since the inception of the brand, and it's been a real pleasure to watch it develop.  I was lucky enough last week to be the very happy recipient of one of her beautiful leather belts as a gift and I've barely taken it off since!  I've also had the chance to take a sneak peek at the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection and it's more of the same...great, clever, luxe pieces that will do serious damage to the wallet.  You can see ARNSDORF product at http://arnsdorf.swappler.com/ and also shop online!

Vladi Rapaport Skull Chair

Today I have fallen very much in love with this moulded plywood chair by Vladi Rapaport.   The perfect balance of wit and style...you wouldn't even know it was a skull shape unless you looked closely!  The curve of the wood is just so beautiful.  Minimal, classic, complex all at once.  Now all I need to do is find the money to buy it and a place to put it.

Prism Optics - Take me to Rio!

As a sufferer of both poor eyesight and my current ugly frames, I've developed a bit of a fixation with Prism optics.  The style below is 'Rio' is cream tortoiseshell and is high up on the wishlist this week.  With frames named after the world's most brilliant cities - Rio, New York, London, Paris, Rome - Prism provide a great alternative to the old trend of overly blinged-out designer frames (hello Chanel).  Unfortunately for us, they are only available through Dover Street Market & Browns in London, and Barneys in NY.  On the other hand, what better souvenir to pick up from your favourite international destination?  You can see the range for yourself at http://www.prismlondon.com/.

Cycle chic

After a stint living in Copenhagen earlier in the year, we became hooked on all things bicycle and are currently working on some careful restoration of vintage frames.

Until we have some great pics of our own to share with you, here are some of our favourite cycle-centric pages to check out...

Fancy Footwork - Vivienne Westwood & Melissa winged sandals

For all of you out there who want a shoe that captures the platform of a Japanese Geisha, the comfort of rubber Melissa shoes and the winged ankles of a Roman god, this is your lucky day!  These slightly bonkers but completely awesome winged sandals from Dame Vivienne are a little unhinged, but we can't help but be tempted to invest.  They won't be available until early November and will also be available in magenta - perfect for those days when you need a little lift!
